The Autism Trust is on a mission to provide futures with purpose for all individuals with autism and associated conditions. We need your help to win approval of a visionary plan to create the first Autism Center of its kind in northwest Austin. On Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 6PM at Austin City Hall, the Austin Zoning and Platting Commission will hold a critical public hearing. At this meeting, they will vote to approve a plan to divide 82 acres in northwest Austin into 2 parts: 40 acres for a new Autism Center and 42 acres for new homes built by MileStone Community Builders. If approved, funds from the sale of homes in the residential portion will go to an endowment to help support the creation of the Autism Center Austin along with MileStone supporting its infrastructure and facility development. Here are three things you can do to make a difference! 1. Please take action today. You can speak to commission for a maximum of 3 minutes about the need for the Autism Center Austin or donate your time to another speaker. Parking is free and located under Austin City Hall.
